The Instructions for Upgrading Your PC to Windows ® 7

TOSHIBA Recommends to use TOSHIBA Upgrade Assistant on Vista for Easy Upgrading Your PC to Windows 7.

Upgrade Instructions with TOSHIBA Upgrade Assistant

 1.Check to see if your PC is compatible with Windows 7.

 2.Get Windows 7 package at the shop.

   Before getting, Check which editions of Windows Vista can be upgraded to Windows 7.

   Visit http://windows.microsoft.com/upgrade for more information.

   TOSHIBA recomends Windows® 7 Upgrade Option Program.

   Check to see if your PC can use TOSHIBA Windows® 7 Upgrade Option Program.

 3.Backup and store all your Data to an external HDD or USB flash memory or other storage Media.

   After the backup and store, Toshiba recommends your PC to recover.

 4.Use TOSHIBA Upgrade Assistant

   Progress upgrading according to TOSHIBA Upgrade Assistant's instruction.

   During instruction's steps, You will use Windows 7 package.

Upgrade Instructions without TOSHIBA Upgrade Assistant

 1.Check to see if your PC is compatible with Windows 7.

 2.Get Windows 7 package at the shop.

   Before getting, Check which editions of Windows Vista can be upgraded to Windows 7.

   Visit http://windows.microsoft.com/upgrade for more information.

 3.Backup and store all your Data to an external HDD or USB flash memory or other storage Media.

   After the backup and store, Toshiba recommends your PC to recover.

 4.Do the preparation work on Vista.

   Please check the Update Drivers page.

   Check "OS" column. If you can see "On Vista", you need to be upgrade or uninstall it on Vista.

   Next, Download all "Windows7" modules to HDD or other storage.

 5.Upgrade to Windows 7 by Windows 7 package

   Set Windows 7 package to Your PC.

   Progress upgrading according to Windows 7 package instruction.

 6.Upgrade driver/Utility/Application on Windows 7

   Upgrade driver/Utility/Application by using "Windows7" modules downloaded in step 4.
